NGO Human Rights Action (HRA) and the Centre for Monitoring and Research (CeMI) organize a panel discussion on Friday, May 26th 2017 in PR Center in Podgorica, that started at 10 o’clock.
Panel discussion will be held within the project “Towards a judicial efficiency – improving the development of the profession in relation to the Montenegrin judicial system”, funded by the Royal Netherlands Embassy.
The aim of the project is to support the process of reform of the judiciary in Montenegro, through the increased involvement of civil society organizations and thus contribute to the overall progress of Montenegro in the negotiations with the European Union, in the part referring to chapters 23 and 24.
Within this project, they conducted a survey of public opinion regarding to the perception of citizens about the efficiency of the judicial system in Montenegro and its authorities and made several studies. This panel discussion was held for the presentation of an analysis of court experts “Expert witnesses in the Montenegrin legal system,” and will bring together representatives of the Court of Appeal, basic and higher courts, the Association of court experts, civil society organizations that monitor the reform of the judiciary and the media.
