Wednesday, October 24 Final regional conference Financial Investigations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia

The Centre for Monitoring and Research (CeMI) will organize a final regional conference Financial Investigations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia on Wednesday, October 24th at the PR Centre.

Opening remarks will be given by:

  • Vesna MEDENICA, President of the Supreme Court of Montenegro;
  • Jelena DJALETIC, State Prosecutor;
  • Zlatko Vujovic, President of the Governing Board at CeMI
  • Moderator: Bojan Bozovic, Head of the Legal Department at CeMI.

After the opening remarks a panel, Analysis of the Work of Responsible Institutions in Conducting Financial Investigations – Suggestions for Future Solutions, will follow where speakers will be:

  • Darko DJUROVIC, Deputy of the Public Prosecutor at the High Public Prosecution in Belgrade;
  • Hajrudin MUJANOVIC, Prosecutor of the Prosecution in Bosnia and Herzegovina;
  • Suzana MUGOSA, Judge at the High Court in Podgorica;
  • Zoran GANIC, Judge at the High Court in Belgrade, Special Department for the Fight Against Organized Crime and Corruption in Serbia;
  • Tatjana KOSOVIC, Judge in Bosnia and Herzegovina;
  • Moderator: Bojan BOZOVIC, Head of the Legal Department at CeMI.

About the findings and recommendations from the study about the challenges and results in the field of financial investigations will speak:

  • Nemanja NENADIC, Programme Director at Transparency Serbia, author of the study on financial investigations in Serbia;
  • Jelena DJURISIC, Associate at the University of Donja Gorica, author of the study on financial investigations in Montenegro;
  • Dajana CELEBIC, Association for Democratic Initiatives (Sarajevo);
  • Moderator: Bojan BOZOVIC, Head of the Legal Department at CeMI.

Regional conference will be held within the project “Strengthening investigation and prosecution capacity in the Western Balkans countries – Financial investigations as a tool to combat organized crime and corruption“, which CeMI was conducting in cooperation with partners: The Association for Democratic Initiatives of Sarajevo and Transparency Serbia from Serbia, and is financed by the Royal Netherlands Embassy through the “MATRA” program.
