Irena Gigović was born on October 24th, 1995 in Kotor. She graduated from high school “Danilo Kis” in Budva and was awarded with “Luca B” diploma. During her time in high school she was the first speaker at the National Debate Championship and she represented her school in many international tournaments. She also volunteered at the Center for Creative Communication “Logos”. After starting her studies at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Montenegro she became an active member of MAPPS (Montenegrian Association of Political Sceience Students) as well as the Debate club “Agora”. During the summer of 2016 she was the coach of national debate team of Montenegro, which has taken an active part in the World Debate Championship in Stuttgart. She also was an active volleyball player and with her team was the vice-champion of Cup of Montenegro 2016. Second semester of 4th year of her studies she spent at the Humboldt University in Berlin as a scholar Erasmus + program where she also attended the intensive German language course.
She speaks English and German.
