Nikoleta Đukanović, PhD
Nikoleta Djukanovic was born on February 15th, 1985. She earned Bachelor’s degree at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Podgorica in 2007, at the department of Diplomacy and International Relations, with an average grade of 9.96. She specialized in the field of diplomacy at the same faculty with an average grade of 10, as well as in the field of American political and economic systems at the Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. She completed Diplomatic Academy in Vienna, Austria.
In December 2008 she earned Master’s degree at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Podgorica at the department of European Studies. At the same time she completed „Master in Adriatic Region and Local Development“ at the Univerity of Bologna, in the field of security cooperation in Adriatic-Ionian region, as a full CEI scholarship receipent. Since 2010, Nikoleta Tomovic is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Political Science in Belgrade at the department of International and Europan Studies. She was the Austrian Agency for International Cooperation, Education and Research research scholarship receipent at the Institute for the European Law at the University of Graz in 2016. During the period 2008-2010 she worked in the Ministry of Defence of Montenegro as a councilor for international relations at the Minister’s cabinet. Since 2008 she is employed at the University of Donja Gorica at the department of Humanistic Studies, as an assistant for foreign policy and international organizations. She started working in Centre for Monitoring and Research in 2010 as a researcher at the Program for European and Euro-Atlantic Integrations, and since 2012 she is engaged as Executive Director. She is fluent in English and French.
Nikoleta Tomovic is author of numerous scientific papers, expert articles and studies of practical public policy. She presented her work at many conferences and round tables in Montenegro and internationally. Nikoleta has significant experience in the implementation of national and international research projects in the field of European and Euro-Atlantic Integrations. She is a member of the Operation Body for the implementation of the 2014-2018 Strategy for informing the public about the EU and Montenegro’s preparations for membership.
