During the second day of training on sensitive treatment of LGBTIQ persons, lecturer Danijel Kalezic spoke about stereotypes and prejudices related to LGBTIQ persons, as well as the theoretical concepts of homophobia and transphobia, explaining possible causes and consequences.
Also, lecturer Jovan Ulicevic presented cases of institutional, interpersonal and personal homophobia, as well as internalized transphobia through practice examples. Cases of attacks on trans people in Montenegro were also presented.
The training is part of a wider project called "Contribution to suppressing hate speech against LGBTIQ persons", which is organized by the Center for Monitoring and Research CeMI and financed by the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights.
