During the third day of training on sensitive treatment of LGBTIQ persons, lecturers Danijel Kalezic and Jovan Ulicevic presented statistics and research on violence against LGBTIQ persons. as well as the forms of violence that LGBTIQ people face almost every day.
Cases of discrimination and violence against members of the LGBTIQ community from the previous period are also presented.
The "Living Library" marked the third day of the training, in which the lecturers found themselves in the role of "open books" in such a way that they were available to the participants who could openly, in the role of "readers", ask questions and receive answers.
"Readers" were encouraged to freely ask them questions in order to receive an honest answer in return, and in this way the participants had the opportunity to break down the wall of possible prejudices or doubts.
The training is part of a wider project called "Contribution to suppressing hate speech towards LGBTIQ persons", which is organized by the Center for Monitoring and Research CeMI and financed by the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights.
