📣Today, on September 23rd, within the framework of the project "PROSPECTA: Promotion of Openness and Creation of Access for Efficient and Transparent Administration", financially supported by the Ministry of Public Administration, CeMI organized a workshop "Submitting Requests for Free Access to Information", in the premises of the Assembly Hall of the Municipality of Bijelo Polje.

🔹️In the first part of the workshop, the participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the basic terms when it comes to the right to free access to information, such as who are bound by the Law and the applicants, what is the guide and the like. In the second part, they transferred the acquired theoretical knowledge into practice and learned how to exercise their right to free access to information and draft a request.

Personal examples of the participants were also discussed, which further enriched the conversation and enabled a deeper understanding of the challenges they face when submitting applications. At the workshop, the participants, together with the lecturer, actively discussed the Law on Free Access to Information, considering various aspects of its application and interpretation. The focus was on practical challenges in exercising the right to access information, as well as on key mechanisms that enable more efficient application of the law in the daily work of institutions and citizens. This interaction contributed to the exchange of experiences and practical advice that will help them in future procedures.
