The Center for Monitoring and Research (CeMI) successfully organized a three-day training on "Proposal Writing and Fundraising," held from December 8 to 10 at Hotel Serdar in Mojkovac. The lecturer, Goran Đurović, an expert with rich experience in methodology, strategic planning, and public relations, guided participants through the process of acquiring knowledge about the rules, process, phases, and the actual development of project proposals and budgets through theoretical and practical work.

On the first day, participants were introduced to the basics of the project writing process, different types of donors, and strategies for attracting donors. This included writing an effective letter of intent and presenting the project to a specific donor. Participants had the opportunity, through an exercise, to define a project idea for the ministry.

During the second day, participants familiarized themselves with the Logical Framework Approach (LFA) through three different phases of analysis: context analysis, stakeholder analysis, and SWOT analysis. Subsequently, based on their project proposal, they created a problem tree and an objectives tree.

On the third day, the focus was on completing the application form, and going through all project stages in detail. Participants also had the opportunity to become acquainted with budget assessment, distinguishing between eligible and ineligible costs. Finally, they had the chance to explore a case study, differentiating between a successful and unsuccessful project proposal by identifying potential shortcomings in the project application.

This training was organized as part of the project "ON TIME - Support for Human Rights Defenders and CSOs in the Promotion of Human Rights and the Development of Democratic Political Culture," implemented by CeMI in collaboration with NGOs Juventas, Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe, Queer Montenegro, and Open Center Bona Fide, with the support of the European Union Delegation and the Ministry of Public Administration.
