Blow the Whistle: No Corruption Blind Spots in Montenegro

Under the project "Blow the Whistle: No Corruption Blinds Spots in Montenegro," the Centre for Monitoring and Research (CeMI) aims to contribute to changing the political and institutional framework, which will result in the establishment of more efficient and effective mechanisms for combating corruption.

The overall goal of the project is to initiate changes in which the citizens of Montenegro are willing and informed about how to identify and report corruption. With this idea in mind, the project is divided into two segments, each contributing to the realization of a specific goal through practical interventions that should trigger changes in each identified area of the fight against corruption. By implementing this project, CeMI also aims to contribute to positive changes in reducing the vulnerability of Montenegrin institutions to corruption. This change would be achieved through the process of improving the strategic and legislative framework for corruption prevention through monitoring and advocacy, as well as through interventions that would limit the impact of the culture of corruption and the acceptance of such practices in the wider public through awareness campaigns and an effective communication strategy.

The project is supported by the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) of the U.S. Embassy in Montenegro.
