The Centre for Monitoring and Research (CeMI) warned citizens that fake news related to the organization's observers, who will monitor the election process during the presidential elections scheduled for tomorrow, are being spread on social networks.
From the very beginning, CeMI gave precise information that it has accredited more than 1,200 observers for both election rounds, while in the first round it will have 450 observers.
Additionally, we clarified that it is important to cover all polling stations in the second round in order to prevent irregularities and protect the integrity of the electoral process. We want to emphasize that the observers were accredited in this way because of the legal framework that does not specify whether it is possible to accredit observers before the second round.
We invite the public to look for a source of information about CeMI's activities on our social networks.
