The first day of training on sensitive treatment of LGBTIQ persons for judges, prosecutors and members of the Police Directorate was successfully held today in Kolasin.
During the training, participants went through a series of topics, including theoretical introductions to the distinction between sex and gender, specifics and best practices related to transgender and intersex people, as well as practical exercises to understand gender and gender characteristics.
The lecturers at the training were Danijel Kalezic, Executive Co-Director of ERA - Association for Equal Rights of LGBTI Persons for the Western Balkans and Turkey, and Jovan Ulicevic, Executive Director of Spektra Association.
The training is part of a wider project called "Contribution to the suppression of hate speech against LGBTIQ persons", which is organized by the Center for Monitoring and Research CeMI and financed by the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights.
