Members of minority nations and other minority national communities can apply for free legal aid (BPP) to the legal team of the Centre for Monitoring and Research, if their rights have been violated before the judicial authorities, by calling the number 069 037 376 and via the email address bppmanjine@cemi.org .me.

This was announced by Maja Bjelic, the coordinator of the project "Contribution to the development and improvement of the rights of minority peoples and other minority national communities in Montenegro" as a guest on Boje Jutra TV Vijesti

"CeMI has been providing for many years through various forms, so I invite all those interested to apply and receive legal advice completely free of charge in order to prevent discrimination against the mentioned group in Montenegro, which is discriminated against before the judicial authorities," said Bjelic.

She said that members of minority nations and other minority national communities in Montenegro face unequal treatment immediately before or during the actual court proceedings.

"There, CeMI cannot represent a specific party, but it gives necessary and significant advice when it comes to court proceedings," specified Bjelic.

She announced that CeMI is working on an analysis that will contain the results of a public opinion survey on the position of national minorities in Montenegro.

"The analysis will be available to the public and it will include a detailed analysis of the current situation, as well as steps to improve this area." The public opinion survey is ongoing, so the results of the survey are expected at the end of February," concluded Bjelic.

The project "Contribution to the development and improvement of the rights of minority peoples and other minority national communities in Montenegro" is financially supported by the Ministry of Justice, Human and Minority Rights.
