Within the project “Strengthening of the Ombudsman institution in Montenegro”, CeMI organized a two-day training on the topic “The experience and good practice in preparing the report on the Ombudsmen performance” on 22nd and 23rd June, 2010 at the “City” hotel in Podgorica. Training, where lecturers were Mr. Ixhet Memeti, Macedonian Ombudsman and Mr. Ivan Šelih, Deputy Ombudsman of Slovenia, was attended by deputies and advisors employed in the institution of Montenegrin Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms.
The training was aimed at exchanging experiences and good practices regarding the preparation and publication of the annual report of the Ombudsman performance as well as the preparation of individual (thematic) Ombudsman’s reports. The training especially emphasized the importance and role of media in promoting and presenting the annual report of the Ombudsman, and introduced a variety of methodologies and approaches in terms of preparing the annual and thematic reports of Ombudsmen.
The project “Strengthening of the Ombudsman institution in Montenegro” is supported by the European Union represented by Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, and the project is being implemented in cooperation with the OSCE Mission to Montenegro.
