The Center for Monitoring and Research (CeMI) successfully organized a two-day training on the topic "Writing effective proposals for public policies", which was held on the 4th and 5th of November at the Franca Hotel in Bijelo Polje. The lecturer, Goran Djurovic, an expert with extensive experience in methodology, strategic planning and public relations, guided the participants through the process of designing and formulating influential policy proposals.

The first day was dedicated to defining public policy and getting to know different types of proposals that can be sent to decision makers. By highlighting examples of the Policy Study and the Policy Brief, participants were enabled to exchange opinions and identify key similarities and differences between these documents through an interactive discussion. Through the debate, which followed the practical exercises, a dynamic "network of public policies" was created, where the participants, assuming different roles, argued and defended their positions.

On the second day, the work was focused on drafting Policy Brief proposals, where participants developed their proposals for public policies relevant to the selected topics. The final part of the training was dedicated to the presentation of the results of the group work, which was followed by discussions, suggestions and constructive criticism in consultation with the lecturer.

This training is part of the wider project "Contribution to the inclusion of minorities in the political life of Montenegro", which is implemented by CeMI with the aim of strengthening the role of minority groups in political processes, and is supported by the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights.
