Today, in the Cultural Center in Kolašin, we held a one-day training on political leadership for women, titled: "From Idea to Influence: Political Leadership Training for Women." The training was aimed at strengthening the political and leadership capacities of women through four thematic modules: political leadership and decision-making, public speaking and communication, digital security and protection, as well as the development of political strategy and messaging.
During the training, participants had the opportunity to work through practical exercises on identifying their own leadership styles and values, preparing and delivering short public speeches, responding to online violence, and defining target groups, key messages, and communication channels. Special emphasis was placed on gender barriers in politics, strengthening self-confidence in the public sphere, and developing authentic political engagement. The lecturer at the workshop was dr. Jovana Marović.
The training was implemented within the project "Overcoming Gender Stereotypes and Strengthening Women's Political Participation in Montenegro through Public Information, Capacity-Building Training, and Advocacy for Gender Representation," which we are conducting with the support of the Canadian Embassy through the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) program.
