Fighting ill-treatment and impunity and enhancing the application of the ECtHR case law on national level
In 2019, The Centre for Monitoring and Research with the support of the Council of Europe organized legal clinics about the use of the European Convention on Human Rights. Taking into consideration that education has a key role in the promotion of human rights, it is of great importance for a professional jurist to be familiar with the significance of human rights at the start of their education. From achieved results and taking into consideration that law students in Montenegro do not have the practical knowledge or skills required for the correct use of the European Convention at the national level, this project gave support to the development of comprehensive knowledge of human rights as part of the regular programme at law faculties.
The project activities were organized within the project of the Council of Europe “Fighting ill-treatment and impunity and enhancing the application of the ECtHR case law on the national level“, within the programme “Horizontal Facility for Western Balkans and Turkey“.
