📢 PUBLIC CALL FOR PARTICIPATION IN TRAINING FOR JOURNALISTS

We invite all interested parties (journalists, students) to apply for a one-day training session designed to improve media reporting on women in public and political life, with a specific focus on identifying and combating gender-based hate speech.

🧩 TRAINING PROGRAM

The training aims to provide participants with practical knowledge and tools for:

  • Identifying gender-based hate speech in the media and online space.
  • Understanding the boundary between freedom of expression and hate speech.
  • Applying gender-sensitive and ethical reporting.
  • Improving professional standards in reporting on women in public life.

Through interactive work, case studies, and practical exercises, participants will have the opportunity to enhance their journalistic skills and their approach to sensitive topics.

👥 WHO CAN APPLY?

The call is intended for:

  • Journalists
  • Students of journalism and media studies.
  • Editors and other media professionals.
  • Employees in the media sector and online platforms.
  • All individuals currently involved or planning to pursue a career in journalism and media.

  • A very brief biography (or information regarding their interest/engagement in the media field).
  • Email address and phone number

The training will be led by Miodrag Strugar, a communications expert with years of experience in the field of media and communications, and a certified trainer for gender-based hate speech.

The training is organized as part of the project "Equal in Public – For a Safe Public Space in Montenegro," implemented by CeMI with the financial support of the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights.
