We are organizing a round table: “Chapter 23: Implementation of Final Benchmark 2 – Fight Against Corruption.”

Bearing in mind that Montenegro is in the final phase of negotiations with the European Union, we believe that it is particularly important to open a substantive and constructive discussion on the results achieved so far in meeting Final Benchmark 2 within Chapter 23, as well as on upcoming obligations in the area of the fight against corruption.

During the round table, the findings of the Report on Anti-Corruption through Chapter 23 will be presented, providing an overview of key institutional, legislative, and strategic reforms in the areas of corruption prevention and suppression in the period 2024–2025, with a focus on the role of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, the Special State Prosecutor’s Office, and other competent institutions, as well as on progress within Montenegro’s European integration process.

🎤 Speakers: Jelena Grdinić, Director General of the Directorate for Civil and Criminal Legislation at the Ministry of Justice and Head of the Negotiating Working Group for Chapter 23; Dušan Drakić, Acting Director of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption; and Nemanja Stankov, Head of the Public Policy Research Department, CeMI.

The round table is organized within the project “Raise Your Voice: For a Corruption-Free Montenegro”, aimed at improving effective anti-corruption mechanisms, with the support of the INL Office at the Embassy of the United States of America in Podgorica.
