Call for Applications: Two Scholarships for Law Students – Trial Monitoring Program

The Centre for Monitoring and Research (CeMI) announces a call for applications for two scholarships for Law Faculty students within the trial monitoring program.

The call is intended for students of the Faculty of Law who wish to enhance their theoretical knowledge by gaining practical experience in trial monitoring, analysis of judicial practice, and research in the field of the rule of law.

Through this program, scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to participate in monitoring court proceedings, collecting and analyzing relevant data, as well as drafting brief analytical notes and research papers related to the functioning of the judiciary, transparency of court proceedings, and compliance with fair trial standards.

With the support of mentors, scholarship holders will develop practical knowledge and skills in legal analysis, trial monitoring, and drafting policy recommendations, and will have the opportunity to participate in professional meetings, training sessions, and other organizational activities.

Application Requirements:

  • Student status at the Faculty of Law (preferably final year of undergraduate or master's studies);
  • Interest in the field of the rule of law, judicial reform, and transparency of court proceedings;
  • Strong analytical and research skills.

Selected scholarship recipients will be engaged for a duration of 6 months, with an expected commitment of approximately 15 hours per week. This includes attending court hearings, analyzing collected data, and preparing short analytical notes and reports with mentoring support.
