Javni poziv za učešće na regionalnoj umjetničkoj koloniji o komuniciranju korupcije kroz vizuru umjetnika

20. May. 2019. in news

In order to contribute to the fight against corruption through alternative ways and mobilize the artistic community in communicating current society challenges, the Centre for Civic Education (CCE) and NGOs For Others invite visual artists - graphic designers, visual artists, illustrators, film and comic authors, photographers, animators , architects, video artists, graffiti artists, as well as visual arts students to participate in a regional art colony on communicating corruption through artists' visions.

The focus of activities and work on the colony will be the participation of artists in the treatment of corruption as a manifest and pernicious social deviation. The original work of the participants in the colony should cover the perceptions, causes and consequences of corrupt practices in all social and political aspects. Participants' artistic interventions should in an innovative way influence public opinion and sensitization about the harmful effects of corruption on overall social development.

The colony is planned to be organized for a period of three days (preliminary dates are June 13-15, 2019). The organizer provides the costs of the trip, accommodation and stay, as well as basic materials needed for the artist's work during the colony. Reputable lecturers and mentors will moderate the work, the dynamics of the activity, as well as the dispersion of the expected new work on the colony.

The deadline for application is June 3, 2019, 5pm.

The following documentation must be submitted in electronic form to apply for a public call:

  • author's name, contact telephone and e-mail address;
  • brief biography (with particular reference to works or activities in this area, if any);
  • proposal of necessary material for work during the duration of the regional art colony.

Applications should be sent to: info@cgo-cce.org with the indication "Call for Proposals for a Regional Colony". Incomplete applications will not be considered.

All works from the regional art colony will be presented on the project site, as an integral part of the project, but also as an expression of engaged art that, in its specific expression, can in a unique way illuminate numerous social problems and inspire other similar artistic interventions.

A public call for participation in a regional art colony on communicating corruption through the artists' vision was announced as part of the project LET'S PUT CORRUPTION IN THE MUSEUM! implemented by the Centre for Civic Education (CCE) in partnership with the NGO Monitoring and Research Centre (CeMI) from Podgorica, the NGO Bonum from Pljevlja, the NGO UL Info from Ulcinj and the NGO For Another from Petrovac, in cooperation with the Anti-Corruption Agency and the Ministry public administration. The project is funded by the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro and co-financed by the Ministry of Public Administration.
