Pre-trial detention represents one of the most sensitive measures in criminal proceedings, as it directly affects the right to liberty and the presumption of innocence. The video highlights key challenges in the application of pre-trial detention in Montenegro, including its duration, conditions in detention facilities, and the need for consistent respect for the rights of persons deprived of their liberty.

By presenting existing practices and challenges, the video aims to contribute to a better understanding of pre-trial detention and the importance of protecting fundamental human rights in criminal proceedings.
