Within the project ” Improving capacities of CSOs and the system of consumer protection in Montenegro – PROTECT.ME “, funded by the European Union, represented by Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, through the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA), announces:
CALL
For granting small grants to non-governmental organizations
To support civil society organizations and strengthen their capacities in the community in order to raise awareness and improve the services to citizens in the field of consumers’ protection.
Proposals for projects that will specifically address the northern and southern Montenegrin regions in value from 5,000 to 15,000 EUR can be submitted no later than 20th May 2017 until 11:59 PM. The total allocation budget amounts to 30,000.00 euros. Projects will be implemented in order to increase the overall protection of consumers’ rights in Montenegro by strengthening the capacity of civil society organizations to represent, provide services, raise awareness and / or provide other types of support to consumers, with particular emphasis on vulnerable groups.
NGOs registered in accordance with the Law on Non-Governmental Organizations that meet the following criteria are eligible to participate:
- That they are registered as associations of citizens at least one year before the expiry of the deadline for submitting project proposals in this competition;
- That they have their headquarters in Montenegro;
- That they are directly responsible for project preparation and management, with partners (if provided), and not act as intermediaries;
- They have an annual turnover of less than EUR 30,000 (in the case of a part of the capacity building program).
Individuals, political parties, international and foreign organizations, government institutions, religious communities have no right to participate in this competition. Also, users who have signed contracts under IPA 2014 tenders for submitting project proposals are not eligible applicants for this call. Potential applicants are not allowed to participate or to submit proposals or to receive grants if they fall into any of the categories listed in Section 2.3.3 of the Practical Guide to EU Funds.
