CeMI: 58.7 percent of voters voted by 5 pm

According to the data of the Center for Monitoring and Research (CeMI), 58.7 percent of registered voters voted on the presidential elections in Montenegro by 5 pm.

 

The CeMI PR Coordinator, Maja Bjelic, stated that by 5 pm in the southern region voted 52.4 percent of voters, in the central region 62.8 percent and in the northern region 57.6 percent.

 

“By 5 pm, 63.6 percent of voters voted in Podgorica, in Niksic 67.3 percent, in Bar 52.8 percent, in Bijelo Polje 60.9 percent. ", Bjelic said.

 

She reminded that the turnout in the first round of presidentaial elections by 5 pm was 52.4 percent, on the presidential elections in 2018 it was 49.5 percent by 5 pm, and on the parliamentary elections in 2020 it was 68.4 percent. 

 

Speaking about the irregularities Bjelic said that at the polling station 4B in the primary school Radojica Perovic in Podgorica, a person with disability was not enabled to reach the possling station, twice, at 8 am and 3 pm, because the gate was locked.

 

"To the timely request directed at the election board to enable this person to access the polling station, according to our information up to this moment, no reply was received.", Bjelic said.

 

She also stated that in Ulcinj at the polling station 4 - Community Center, neither an election committee member nor the deputy were present for an extended period of time, which represent a violation of the Article 72 of the Law which states that, while a polling station is open and voting in progress, all election committee members or their deputies must be present at the polling station.

 

She also invited the citizens to report the noticed irregularities to the CeMI legal team, on the phone number 020 511 513, via the application Fer izbori available in Play store and on the website www.ferizbori.me.

 

The processed data related to the turnout in the election day, voting trends, estimation of results after closing of polling stations, CEMI shall, during the day, announce to the public via: regular live press conferences on CeMI You Tube channel, websites www.ferizbori.me and www.izbori.cemi.org.me, official social network profiles, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, as well as Radio Television of Montenegro, TV Vijesti and TvE, which will broadcast live the CeMI press conferences.
